Susanne Krausse is a freelance artist who also does artwork for the specialty supermarket Trader Joe's. At 12 years of age she began studying art at a local art studio called KidsArt located in La Canada, CA. When the studio ran out of things to teach her they offered her a job and she was trained for teaching, which she did until she was 18. She studied fine art through high school and through university.

At 20 she began working for Trader Joe's. They had the knowledge that she was studying art but had never seen an example. When given an opportunity to show them what she could do, they were pleased. She has been painting murals and drawing advertising chalkboards(some are pictured on this site)since then. She now travels to other stores in Southern California to do similar work. The majority of her freelance work has come from customers at Trader Joe's.
